Description

St. Martin Island is a small coral island (only 8 square kilometers) located in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal, the southernmost part of Bangladesh. It is located about 9 km south of Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar district and 8 km west of the coast of Myanmar at the mouth of Naf River. Locally it is also called Coconut Jinjira because of the abundance of coconuts available.
